Vivian seems to be intended as the young conscience of the book, alone and confused and trying to find her way, but she by and large fails miserably, as when the chips are down – and most of the time otherwise – she is just as greedy and selfish as the anbette of them. She is now expected to mate the new leader, Gabriel. Vivian feels very alone and confused. They are talking about human, and finally, they choose their own kind. Klause writes with vivid imagery, beautiful passion, and makes werewolves come to life in a surprisingly sensual way. I don’t get this “fuzz” about inappropriate sex scenes.
